In our quest to seek, acknowledge, and support outstanding photography, GalleryPrint is pleased to announce the 2002 GalleryPrint Botanical Photography Awards. This competition is open to all artists worldwide working in the medium of photography. (Current GalleryPrint photographers are not eligible.) The photographs may be in any photographic medium. This work is not limited to flowers but must pertain to flora i.e. trees, seeds, leafs, plants, anything botanical. Entries must be received by April 5, 2002. Award notification by May 3, 2002.

Judging is based on creative vision and excellence of craft. There will be 10 semifinalists receiving certificates of excellence and participation in the GalleryPrint .com Botanical Awards Group exhibit. From the semifinalists will be selected three finalists who will receive Finalist Award Certificates and $150.00 in Legion Paper. From the three finalists will be selected the Best of Competition Winner who will receive The Best of Competition Award Certificate, $150.00 in Legion Paper, $500.00 in Atelier Services from GalleryPrint and a solo exhibit on the GalleryPrint website.

All the Semi Finalists will participate in the GalleryPrint / La Quinta Cultural Center Botanical Exhibit in Albuquerque, New Mexico opening June 23, 2002 and running until July 21, 2002. Please be prepared to supply work for this Exhibit.

Jurors:

Semifinalists are selected by the curators of GalleryPrint.

Finalists are selected by the GalleryPrint photographers.

"Best of Competition" winner is selected by both the curators and photographers of galleryprint.
