Richard Lemmon - b. 1940 Springfield, OH
I have been taking pictures since 1959 when my parents let me take their Argus C-3 to Ft. Lauderdale on one of those college spring vacations. I guess they figured if I was busy thinking about shooting photographs then I wouldn't get into trouble. As usual, they were right. I stayed out of trouble and discovered what a great thing it is to pick out a subject and to make a copy of it and save it forever. Ever since then I've looked at things in a new way. Everything is a picture. I shoot whatever it is that I think looks interesting at the moment. Sometimes it works out pretty well. I've put up a range of examples for your scrutiny. If my parents were here today, I think they'd be happy with my work. And very happy that I'm staying out of trouble.
